Smithfield Roads

All the roads in Somidopark were gravel roads. 5.7 km of the roads were realigned and paved along with kerbs, storm water drainage, signage and road marking.  Somidopark was often cut off from the town during flash floods.  A bridge culvert was designed for a 1:50 year flood to minimize the occurrence of the township’s people from being cut-off from the rest of the town.
